Mr. Ajay Mittal who is a 1982 IAS officer and known RSS background man is to be the new Secretary of Information and Broadcasting (I&Ba) of Government. He would replace Mr. Sunil Arora who is retiring on April 30.
Mr. Mitttal is a Law Graduate earlier posted as Principal Secretary in Himachal Pradesh, Additional Chief Secretary, Transport, Social Justice and Empowerment Department in Shimla. Besides, Mr. Mittal, the government has also made a dozen other top level appointments.
He belonged to Ponta town of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. During special secretary powers he played a major role to unearth Dutch firm M/s Brakel limited forged bank grantees to get the 960 mega watt Jangi Thopan power project in Kinnaur district currently in litigation before the Supreme court.
