The State received 117 new proposals amounting to Rs 6031.37 Cr out of which 79 projects worth Rs 3300.16 Cr with the employment potential of 9093 persons have been cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SLSWC & MA).
This was stated by the Industry Minister Mr. Mukesh Agnihotri who was chairing a meeting of the Industry Department today. He stressed the importance to tapping more potential entrepreneurs who are willing to invest in the State.
The Industry Minister said that in order to provide world class infrastructural facilities to the entrepreneurs in the State, three State of the Art Industrial Areas were being developed in the State. He said that the work has been started on industrial area Pandora in Una district and Kandrori in Kangra district with an estimated cost of Rs. 140 crores and Rs. 122 crores respectively. He said that land has also been identified in Dhabota, Nalagarh area of Solan district for developing industrial areas.
Mr. Agnihotri said that land would be provided at concessional rate to the entrepreneurs providing employment to 100 Himachalis. He said that several concessions and incentives were also being provided to the industrialists. The State Government also proposes to setup ‘Himachal Bureau of Investment’ which would be a multi-departmental bureau to ensure speedy and time-bound clearances manned by officers of various departments.
He said that new enterprises in the State would be required to submit only self-certified documents online or manually. All the departments would issue the provisional registration within 15 days from submission of the documents, he added.
Industries Minister said that all the General Managers of District Industries Corporation (DIC) should hold regular meetings with the entrepreneurs as they were the ambassadors of the State to woo investments to the State and work with missionary zeal and dedication.
He also directed the officers of the Mining department to ensure that full transparency and fairness was adopted while going for the auction of mining sites.
Mr. Agnihotri said that all the functional posts of the department would be filled up on priority. He said that the departmental building would be provided with lift and generator.
