Water crisis: High Court summons State officials

Concerned over the water crisis in Shimla city, The High Court of Himachal Pradesh today directed the Principal Secretary, (IPH) & Engineer-in-Chief to be present before the Court. The Court further directed the respondents to file reply in this matter on or before 3rd May, 2016.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on an application filed by Ramakant Sharma Senior Advocate who is appointed as amicus curiae in the matter.

Ramakant Sharma has brought it to the notice of the Court that the water supply in Shimla town is very less as compared to the actual demand.
