Three pilgrims die, 20 injured in mishap



Shimla: Three pilgrims were killed and 20 others injured when a Bolero Camper carrying them fell into a ditch near Simroh, 40 kilometre from here, this morning. Police source said that the vehicle carrying about 23 people fell into a deep ditch near Samroh on Dhami-Basantpur road, killing two on the spot and injuring 21.

The injured were immediately rushed to Dhami Primary Health Center, where one person was declared brought dead and five others were stated to be critical. Later, all injured were shifted to IGMC and many of them were discharged after first aid. The group was going to perform ‘pooja’ at Mahunag Shrine at Jani village of Dhami area. The deceased were identified as Tulsi Ram, Kanshi Ram and Rajinder from Jeniya village near Dhami.
