Difference in day & night temperature widens in HP

The HP capital town Shimla was as low as 6.8 degree Celsius in the night and as high as 20.5 degrees in the day today. The gap seems to widen in the day and night temperatures in the State today as there was fresh snowfall on the high reaches sharply pushing it down and bright sunshine climbed it inversely in the day.

The Met office said that it would be mainly dry in the next 24 hours. However, the mercury would vary in the day and night with bright sunshine and clear sky in the night.

Keylong still experiencing snowfall in the valley and the temperature was recorded low at -5.5 degrees. Kalpa in Kinnuar was low at 0.4 degrees and high at 13.4 degrees, tourist resort Manali at 4 degrees and 18.6 degrees, Bhunter in Kullu 5 degrees and 28.6 degrees and Sundernagar in Mandi 6.4 degrees and 27.4 degrees respectively.

Kangra was recorded low at 7 degrees and high at 27 degrees, Una at 13.6 degrees and 29 degrees, Solan at 7.2 degrees and 23 degrees and Nahan 13.3 degrees and 24.7 degrees respectively.
