Cancellation of Indo-Pak T20 Cricket Match at Dharamshala to dent hill economy: Dhumal

    The leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Assembly and former chief minister Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal today alleged that cancellation of Indo-Pak T20 match at International Cricket Stadium Dharamshala would dent the hill economy as a number of hospitality units were forced to bear the burn of the indecisiveness of State Government to provide security to the match.

    Interacting with the media persons today Mr. Dhumal said that he got calls from the various hospitality units of Dharamshala that the shifting of Indo-Pak match venue left them with heavy losses as booking of their hotels were cancelled in a massive scale.

    The BCCI general Secretary Mr. Anurag Thakur could elaborate  more about the issue accurately. However, the State Government maintained that it did not fissile out the match is not correct, Mr. Dhumal said adding that chief minister stated several times that if protesting ex-servicemen came affront it would not use force and use tear gas against them.

    ” The wrong move by Congress government in the state forced the guest team to defend themselves stressing to change the venue as Pakistan Cricket Control board could not host single international cricket match since members of Sri Lanka team had assaulted by the militants” Mr. Dhumal alleged.

    It would dent the tourism and hospitality industry in the state moreover recent jaundice outbreak in Shimla already facing the burn of State ineptitude to provide safe water in the tourists resort.

    During last year winter season and after snowfall at tourist resort Manali administration had been directed the tourists to not venture in the state making the excuse that it could not accommodate many of them due to heavy snowfall and shortage of drinking water.
