A 22-year-old woman today succumbed to burn injuries as fire gutted a house on Solan-Shilly road, police sources said.
Additional SP Solan Mr. Susheel Sharma said that Fire broke out at 1200 hours today and rendered five household homeless as their habitations also gutted in the fire. Fire tender could not douse down the inferno as fire engines could not access the spot due to the narrow street.
Sources said that fire broke out from kacha houses and also downs down a two story house in the line of fire. Flames were so intense that they did not give a chance to evacuate the belongings of the affected families.
While escaping the blazes the 22 years old women named Mona sustained burn injuries who succumbed to burn injuries in the hospital.
Police are not ascertained about the cause of the fire and probe the incidents.
Revenue Officer Mr. Jia Lal Chauhan visited the fire affected families and handed over an immediate relief of ten thousand to the relatives of the deceased and five thousand each to fire affected families. District administration also provided the ration and blankets to the fire victims who render homeless in the extreme winter seasons.
