The Mandi police today booked a youth after seizing about 2 kilograms of illicit Charas when the accused was trying to pedal narcotics in a bus yesterday, police sources said.
ASI Ram Lal who is IO of the case said that they booked a man under station Sadar of Mandi district under section 20 of NDPS Act. The accused was identified Mr. Jaswant Sharma (28 years) alias Pandit belonged to Babinia village of Mahendergarh Taluka of Haryana.
A team of police yesterday laid a nakka at Pulgharat and during the course of checking of a bus they recovered 2 kilograms of Charas from the accused’s possession. The Police were investigating the involvement of the accused in possible pedaling of narcotic on interstate NDPS racket.
