With bright sunshine and mainly dry weather today people took the respite from shivering cold waves as Mercury was near freezing point in most of the towns in the State.
Tribal areas of the hill state were around 12-15 degrees down from freezing point as Keylong headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti recorded lowest in the State with -11.7 degree Celsius. Tourist resort Manali recorded at -4.6 degrees.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district was low at -3.2 degrees and 4 degrees below the normal temperature. Solan and Bhunter (Kullu) recorded temperature at -0.5 degrees each. Sunderngar in Mandi and Palampur was low at 0.3 degrees each and Chamba and Kangra 0.4 degrees and 0.6 degrees respectively. Tourist resort Dalhousie 3.5 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 4.7 degrees, Dharamshala 5 degrees and Una 5. 5 degrees respectively.
