Unexpected snowfall in Shimla town and other tourists resorts in Himachal brings cheer among the tourists and locals as snowfall occurred for an hour covering the landscape with a thin layer of white carpet.
Snowflakes were experienced in the town for one hour as it was overcast by thundering clouds in the afternoon. Shimla, Dhali,Wildflower hall, Kufri and Mashobra experienced snowfall.
Thousands of tourists welcomed the sudden snowfall by echoing their voices and taking videos and photographs amid snowflakes to hail this natural phenomenon.
Report arriving from tourist resort Narkanda said that cold waves were blowing there however, snowfall did not occur so far.
Tourist resort Manali was cloudy and the 13050 ft high Rohtang Pass got a moderate spell of snowfall.
