Snowfall disrupted the vehicular traffic on Manali-Keylong road as about 2 feet fresh snowfall occurred on the Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) gateway to Lahaul-Spiti district.
Sub Divisional Officer of Manali Ms. Jyoti Rana said that vehicular traffic to Rohtang Pass that was open yesterday become snowbound today as more than 2 feet snowfall covered the Manali-Keylong Highway at Rohtang Pass.
Tourists resort Manali got 7-centimeter fresh snowfall today. However high reaches including Saptrishhill, Bandala, Baralacha, Koksar Jalori Jot Rohtang Gulaba, Palchang recorded light snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti district today.
Border Road Organization cleared Manali-Keylong road at Rohtang for last 1 week on Wednesday allowed the stranded vehicle waiting to cross both sides of valley at Gulaba in Manali and Koksar in Lahaul valley yesterday and today as more than 100 vehicles plied before it became snowbound today, a government information officer of Lahaul-Spiti told.
