CPIM holds protest demonstrations

Shimla: Activists of the Communist Party of India Marxist today held demonstrations throughout the state against the ‘unprecedented’ bus fare hike. The protest demonstrations were held in different parts of the state including Mandi, Sundernagar, Karsog, Jhanjheli, Sarkaghat, Jogendernagar, Baijnath, Palampur, Dharamshala, Kangra, Nagrota Bagwan, Chamba, Una, Kullu, Sainj,Banjar, Arki, Nahan, Poanta, Hamirpur, Shimla and several other places.

In Shimla a protest demonstration was held at the DC office and later a memoranda was also handed over to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner. It was also decided to further strengthen the movement by calling another protest on April 8 in case the government does not withdraw the hike.
