Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today greeted Sonia Gandhi along with party state president Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and other party leaders at her residence at Delhi today.
Mr. Virbhadra Singh had left for New Delhi on tuesday and also attended marriage ceremony of Union Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley’s daughter. He would also meet Prime Minister Mr. Narinder Modi to ease pressure on him following registering of cases against him by CBI and ED. Mr. Singh was blaming some union minister and state BJP leader for unleashing political vendata against him to unstable his three years old rule.
The hearing of case was also fixed at Delhi High Court against Mr. Singh after shifting of a petition from Himachal Pradesh High Court to Delhi HC on order of Supreme Court recently.
State BJP leader has also decided to meet President Pranab Mukherjee today seeking ouster of Mr. Singh on the allegation of corruptions.
Octogenarian 6 times Chief Minister is currently facing political dilemma in the state as he was booked by CBI on DA case on September 23rd. Subsequently raids took place by the agencies including ED at various premises belonged to Mr. Singh and who were also booked for the DA and money laundering cases. Mr. Singh was denying allegations of corruption and declaring to face the legal battle to defend him.
Ensuing of Panchayat poll in state is litmus test for Mr.Virbhadra Singh who has to face the drubbing of last Lok Sabha election as BJP swept all the 4 Lok Sabha seats in the state in last general election.
