2 people died and 5 others were injured as they were electrocuted in Shongtong-Karcham Hydro-Electric Project (450 MW), the upcoming hydro power project near district headquarters Reckong Peo in Kinnaur district this morning, the senior officer of District Administration confirmed.
Deputy Commissioner Naresh Kumar Lath told that 2 workers who died on spot are yet to identified. 5 others injured including 1 serious have been hospitalised in District Zonal hospital.
The mishap occurred due to short-circuit. And the District Administration has launched probe into the mishap.
