Snowfall and rain lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, disrupting normal life in the state. However the rains ended long dry spell in the state bringing cheers on the faces of the farmers.
Night temperature of tribal area plunged by several degree in last two days, snowfall occurred in the high reaches as it was partly cloudy in the day today. Keylong was recorded low at -2.6 degree Celsius. Tourist resort Manali recorded lowest of this season at -0.6 degrees and Kalpa at -0.4 degree Celsius.
Minimum temperature of Bhunter in Kullu was 4 degrees, Una 5 degrees, Shimla 6 degrees, Sundernagar 6.9 degrees, Solan and Kangra 7.4 degrees, Mandi 9.7 degrees and Nahan and Sirmuar 13.3 degrees.
Dharampur in Mandi recorded rainfall of 30 mm, Jubbal in Shimla 10 mm, Arki in Solan 9 mm, Airport Jubbarhatti & Rohru 7 mm each, Kotkhai in Shimla 6 mm, Shimla & Kandaghat in Solan 5 mm each and Kukumsheri in Shimla 4 mm.
The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the next 24 hours.
