Himachal CM backs Dalai Lama’s remarks on Bihar election results

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister today took strong exceptions on remarks made against Tibetan Spiritual leader Dalai Lama terming him refugee.

The statement made by some BJP leaders is impertinent as Dalai lama is apostle of peace in the world. This is such a brazen statement against the spiritual leader.

This hill state is proud to have world figures like Dalai Lama living in the state as he made Himachal Pradesh his abode after leaving Tibet. It is sheer nonsense on the part of BJP leaders who made remarks like refugee to Tibetan spiritual leader.

It is worthwhile to mention here that BJP in response to Dalai Lama’s statement regarding hailing victory of secular alliances in Bihar stated that he is residing in this country on asylum and he should live like a refugee here.

“India has a long tradition of peace and amity. The people of Bihar in the recent assembly polls have proved that a large section of the Hindu community still believes in peace and amity,” the 14th Dalai Lama said without naming any political party or leader while addressing a university function a couple of days ago.
