Chief Minister flies to Delhi

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today flew to New Delhi ahead of his case hearing at Supreme Court on 26th October.

Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh arrived at Shimla on Thursday from his native place Rampur and attended Dussehra festival at Jakhu hill.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh today flew to New Delhi, leaving the political and bureaucratic circle agog with speculations. The apex court bench headed by Chief Justice H.L Dattu would hear the matter on 26th October after Central bureau of Investigation (CBI) approached it against the Himachal high court’s order.

Himachal Pradesh High Court on 1st October restrained CBI from arresting Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh besides filing a challan.

Himachal Pradesh High Court also restrained CBI from filing a charge sheet without its prior leave. The probe agency filed a transfer petition and a special leave petition in the apex court seeking transferring the case against Singh from Himachal Pradesh to Delhi and setting aside of the orders passed by the state High Court, respectively.
