The opposition party BJP has trained gun on the Congress government today, threatening to resort to legal action if it finds that reservation roster was tempered with.
The state Congress government is sending confusing signals with its changing stances over the reservation roster since last fortnight, giving enough political fodder for opposition on the issue.
Former Panchayati Raj Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who was silent, from a long span of mudslinging between BJP-Congress, on Saturday hit out at the state government for creating confusion for Panchayati Raj polls.
Jairam also said software was purchased for reservation roster but to continue with its political interference the Congress government then decided to go ahead with the manual roster, which has a possibility of tempering with the list.
“We will move to court if rosters were tempered with, BJP will move to the court” said Jai Ram Thakur. He also speculated early assembly elections in the state. “We hope Panchayati Raj elections and Vidhan Sabha elections will take place simultaneously as there is much tension among the ministers. Jairam also said that when the government purchased new software then what was the point of junking it, if roster is set through software, what is the harm in it” he said.
