Meteorological office forecasts rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

The Meteorological office has warned of heavy rainfall and snow on 25th October and October. Along with that it has forecast rain and snowfall at many places in mid and high reaches and rain at few places at foothills in next two days.

Indian Meteorological has said that rain and thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the mid hills owing to concentration of western disturbances in the state. “The fresh western disturbances are heading towards the state and it would bring rain and snowfall at many places in the mid and high reaches on 24th October and 25th October and rain at few places of foothills” confirms a local Meteorological Office in charge Manmohan Singh in a weather bulletin today.

Warning of heavy rain or snowfall has been issued at one or two places in mid and high reaches. Keylong, the headquarter of Lahaul Spiti stayed under subzero for second day today and recorded low at 0.6 degree Celsius, tourist resort Manali in Kullu district was 4.6 degrees and Kalpa in Kinnuar recorded minimum of 3 degrees each. Bhunter in Kullu and Una recorded 8 degrees each, whereas Shimla and Solan recorded 9 degrees respectively. Other places like Chamba, Sundernagar in Mandi, Palampur in Kangra and Hamirpur recorded 10 degrees, tourist resort Dalhousie in Chamba and Kangra at 11 degrees, Mandi and  Nahan in Sirmaur recorded 14 degrees each, Bilaspur recorded 14 degrees, whereas Dharmshala in Kangra recorded 15 degrees respectively.
