Safety of working doctors in hospitals: Bureaucracy negligent



Himachal Pradesh Duty Medical Officer’s Association has today again accused the state bureaucracy for not executing orders given by Chief Minister to them to ensure safety of working doctors in the hospitals alleging that such untoward incidents were common as taking place daily.

General Secretary of the association, Dr. Jianand Chauhan said in press statement here today that they had ended their strike on assurance of Chief Minister but their demands were not conceded and however the state had agreed to their all demands.

”We called off the strike on assurance of Chief Minister who ordered the bureaucracy to take action however until today it has not been implemented and which shows that bureaucracy is adopting a negative attitude toward their demands” the officer bearer alleged.

Doctors were demanding to take action against those who are beating medicals officers on duty. They also demanding to make stringent law by making this offense non-bailable and the Health Secretary and Director Health should be made responsible for safety of doctors on duties.
