Shimla Mayor apprises the Governor about pace of development



Shimla Mayor Mr. Sanjay Chauha called on the Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhawan here today.

Mr. Acharya Devvrat said that development of the town should be based on a proper plan and with the integrated efforts of Municipal Corporation and other concerned departments. He said that the focus should be on cleanliness and proper sanitation and adequate dustbins should be made available in every corner of the town to ensure the same.

Mr. Chauhan apprised the Governor about the activities being undertaken by the Corporation regarding sanitation and development of town. Governor also enquired about the progress of development of Rani Ground in Kasumpati area and in this regard he directed the Municipal Corporation authorities to speedily implement the development plan, which is prepared at the cost of Rupees 1.30 crore in order to facilitate the residents of the area.
