The State of Himachal Pradesh is part of the Himalayas and it has abundant natural beauty in the form of snow clad peaks, low rolling hills, valleys, rivers and lakes etc.
A spokesman of the state tourism department said in a press statement released here today that the state is offering unique destinations for all seasons but its lush green enchanting beauty during the monsoon season has its own charm.
A tourist can experience natural beauty of the state with a clean and green environment and hotel accommodations, which at reasonable rates is available at all tourist destinations.
The state has presently 2416 registered hotels and guest houses having bed capacity of about 65,339 beds. The state government is making all efforts for the safety and security of the tourists during their visit to the state of Himachal Pradesh. We invite the tourists to visit Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon season and enjoy the rains here with a green environment This is the best time to explore the tribal areas of the state where the weather is most congenial.
HPTDC has hotels at Kalpa, Kaza and at Keylong and one could be part of beautiful journey from Manali to Leh. Every year large number of tourists visits various destinations in the state and monsoon season is the special attraction for them to enjoy their vacations in different destinations of the state.
During the year 2014, the state registered footfall of about 1.63 crore tourists which included 1.59 crore domestic tourists with 7.83 per cent increase in tourist inflow over the previous year. This year, till April 2015, 53.23 lakh tourists including 1.24 lakh foreign tourists visited the state.
