Rain-showers lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh

Almost ending the summer conditions in the hill state rain showers lashed at many parts there by decreasing down the mercury substantially by five to six degree below normal.

Gaggal  Airport in Kangra recorded 74 mm rainfall till 0830 hrs today, Ghamroor in Bilaspur 30 mm, Rajgarh in Sirmaur 25 mm, Jubbal in Shimla got 22 mm, Khadrala 10 mm, Rohru 9 mm , Dalhousie 8 mm, Rampur in Shimla, Nagrota Suriyan in Kangra , Saloni in Chamba and Dharamshala in Kangra recorded 7 mm each while Palampur and Mashobra recorded rainfall measuring 6 mm each.

The capital town recorded a maximum temperature of 21 degrees, Sundernagar 23.5  degrees, Bhuntar 23 degrees, Kalpa 18 degrees, Dharamshala 28.6 degrees, Una 37.2 degrees, Nahan and Kangra 31 degrees each while Solan recorded 28 degrees respectively.

The metrological office has forecast mainly dry weather in most part so the state and rain or thundershowers in one and two places in next 24 hrs. It has also forecast pre-monsoon showers likely to occur from Jun 19 onwards.
