Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Health Minister assured the people of Kullu to set up a Medical college in Kullu district, if the state government forwards a proposal for the same.
Mr. Nadda who was in the town to attend an anti drug addiction drive by the State Judicial Academy said that the government has already sanctioned funds to set up three more medical colleges in Chamba, Hamirpur and Sirmaur district.
Mr. Nadda stated that entire expense for additional specialists for Kullu Hospital would be borne by the central government and the state government would forward a request to appoint additional specialists to cope up with added pressures in the hospital.
He also announced a blood component segregation unit to readily supply of blood samples to the patients. Centre would also assist the district hospital to set up new Intensive Care Unit and provide dialysis facility for advance health services.
