Himachal Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today said that alleged gang rape of Dharamshala college girl has organized a political conspiracy to malign his government and ministers.
After returning home from Delhi today Mr. Singh responded volley of media queries and alleged that rape has seemed to be an organized political move as nothing has come out of police investigation so far .
The opposition BJP and RSS student wing ABVP has straight away named son of a congress leader and nephew of Virbhadra Singh’s cabinet minister and a relative of the college principal as one of the gang members of sexual assault.
Although the Urban Development Minister Mr. Sudhir Sharma in a statement has denied that he has no such nephew who could commit that sort of an act. The residents of Dharamsala who are not convinced by the police explanation in this case had come out in large numbers on the roads and outside the police station.
They are demanding that identity of girls should be disclosed and the delay in the matter should be explained. They have also asked for the identification of the girl’s photograph that is being circulated in the social media.
Meanwhile the ABVP, DYFI and Aam Aadmi Party who staged statewide protests have demanded a thorough interrogation in the whole episode since it has the involvement of some high profile suspects and the case is being hushed up.
