Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation, incurring debts amounting Rs 512 crore, has decided to hike bus fares by 30 percent in view of the recent rise in fuel prices. The revised fares would become effective from the ensuing financial year 2010-11. The state transport currently charges 85 paise per kilometer, which is lowest fare in any hilly state.
