Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh has announced the decision of government to open National Law University near Ghanahatti in Shimla.
Mr. Singh made this announcement while addressing three day Regional Judicial Conference of five north zone states on “Strengthening Justice Delivery System: Tools and Techniques” organized by the Himachal Pradesh High Court, and National Judicial Academies yesterday.
He also said that State-of-the-Art Judicial Academy has also been constructed at Ghandal in Shimla, which will help in constant up gradation of the knowledge of judicial officers. He also expressed happiness on reduction of cases pending for more than 5 years in the subordinate courts in the state by 8%.
The government has created nine fast track courts of the Additional District Judges and one CBI Court for speedy justice.
The event was presided over by the Chief Justice Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mir, and other Judges of H.P. High Court Justice Sanjay Karol, Justice Rajiv Sharma, Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Justice P.S Rana and Justice Sureshwar Thakur.
