Shimla: A 22-year-old unidentified girl, who was staying here along with her male friend in a hotel near Tarahall Covent School, was found dead in a pool of blood this morning. The boy allegedly involved in the crime was absconding from the spot, senior police officer said.
SP Shimla RM Sharma told HimVani that police recovered the body of a girl having stab injuries on her body. The victim was staying at hotel Rasik along with her boyfriend who is absconding and has been identified as Gorav Verma of IIT Rurakee, hailed from Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh.
Sharma said that a knife and some broken cold drink bottles used in the crime were recovered from the room. He said that they have verified that a Garav Verma is registered at IIT Rurkee but it is not ascertained whether he was involved in the crime or not as it may be that the accused cleverly mentioned wrong name in hotel register.
