Shimla: Property worth Rs 13 lakh was gutted when a devastating fire engulfed a building and a shop at Juri area of Rampur sub-division here on Tuesday, police source said. The fire broke out due to short-circuit. The owner of the building, Surinder Kumar, suffered a loss of around Rs 6 lakh while goods worth Rs 7 lakh were turned to ashes in the incident. Meanwhile, the district administration released relief of Rs 10,000 to the owner of building and Rs 5,000 each to two others.
