Special Court today summoned leader of opposition and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, former IPS officer Mr. A.N.Sharma and retired IAS officers, Mr. Ravi Dhingra and Mr. P.C Kapoor.
Mr. R.K.Sharma, special judge in the court of Shimla today issued summon to Mr. Dhumal and three others in a case related to withdrawal of resignation of former IPS officer A.N Sharma during previous BJP rule. The State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau, on Friday, filed a challan in the court against former Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal and three others on 14th March, 2015. In a notice issued by the court these four have been ordered to be remain present in the court on May 5, 2015.
Congress government led by Mr. Virbhadra Singh has already given permission to prosecute two former IAS officers, including former Chief Secretary Ravi Dhingra and former Home Secretary P.C Kapoor.
Last year on June 17, the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case against Dhumal, former Home Secretary P.C Kapoor and former Shimla Municipal Commissioner A.N Sharma on charges of corruption, forgery and criminal conspiracy under sections 120-B and 420 of the IPC and section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Prem Kumar Dhumal has also been held accountable for misrepresentation of facts. Vigilance officials said Sharma, in 2007, applied for voluntary retirement and when the government accepted it, he withdrew it from the back date in collusion with the government officials.
