Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal today termed Mr. Virbhadra Singh’s budget a jugglery of figures and against the aspiration of people of the state.
Addressing media persons here today Mr. Dhumal also said that people were expecting too much from the budget speech of Mr. Singh but are dismayed as it did not offer any major benefit to them despite making long speech and assurances made during the Vidhan Sabha election.
The governor’s address and budget speech make claims of implementing election manifesto as policy document of the state government however Mr. Virbhadra Singh not emphasized sufficient measure for it.
Employees were expecting announcement and extension of the retirement age in the budget speech however it was not even mentioned in three hours long speech made in the budget today.
Employees are beleaguered, as they could not tell surely what is there retirement age after first reducing it from 60 to 58 years. The government has fully confused them as some of them are given retirement at the age of 58 but many of them are on their posts even after completing 65 yrs in the service.
Mr. Dhumal said the Chief Minister was blaming the center for not making provisions of special category assistance to the hilly states. While replying to the debate on thanks motion in the house the Chief Minister should not make any comments before verifying this fact as center had not made any such announcement so far the leader of opposition alleged.
