Thundershowers and snow lashed in higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh



Thundershowers lashed in many part of Himachal Pradesh while higher reaches had light to moderate spell of snowfall.

Keylong in Lahual Spiti got 12 cm snowfall while Kalpa in Kinnuar got 3 centimeters of snow.

Apart form thundershowers many places experienced rainfall. Kheri in Chamba experienced 65 mm, while Bangana in Una got 45 mm, Dharamshala got 43 mm and Saloni in Chamba had 38 mm of rain.

Nurpur in Kangra recorded 36 mm rain, Baijnath in Kangra had 34 mm, Naina Devi in Bilaspur experienced 30 mm while Gaggal in Kangra got 29 mm of rainfall.

The metrological office has warned of heavy rain and thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm at isolated places. Rain or snow is likely to occur in the foot hills and snow in the mid hills. Some isolated places might have heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied with hailstorm.
