The 195th meeting of Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh General Industries Corporation Limited, 247th meeting of BoDs of HP State Industrial Development Corporation, 167th Meeting of BoDs of Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation Limited and 219th Meeting of BoDs of Himachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board was held here today under the Chairmanship of Industries Minister, Shri Mukesh Agnihotri.
The Board decided to grant additional installment of dearness allowance at the rate of 7 percent to the employees of the corporation paid in cash with the salary of April 2015 payable in May 2015. It was decided for the first time that the corporation would paid 5 percent dividend to the government and share holders of the corporation.
The corporation has decided to donate Rs. 31 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund for the poor and deprived of the society.
Shri Agnihotri said that the corporation during the period of April 2014 to December 2014 had registered a sale of about Rupees 4284 lakh. He said that the performance of country liquor bottling plants at Mehatpur and Parwanoo has been good during the current financial year as they had lifted more quantity of country liquor that was allotted to them as per the 18 percent quota earmarked by the state government in favor of the corporation.
He directed to explore the possibilities of weaving silk cloth on lease basis through private party keeping in view the expansion of sales by Nurpur Silk Mill. He said that the private party would be engaged only for the operation and the control would remain with the corporation.
He also said that the government would ensure that all the functional posts in the corporation were filled on priority so that work could not suffer for want of staff.
Non-official members of the BoD also gave their valuable suggestions in the meeting. Principal Secretary, Industries Shri R.D. Dhiman, Director, Industries Shri Rajinder Thakur and other senior officers of these boards also attended the meeting among others.
