Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Congress unit and the state unit of Communist Party of India Marxist have found a common cause at least for once. After Congress, now the CPIM has once again reiterated its demand of instituting a judicial inquiry into the call girl racket busted in one of the hotels at Shimla.
The state government in a clandestine understanding has brushed aside the BJP leaders of the indictment and has allowed dying the event its natural death, the CPIM has stated. “There should be no duality as far as the culpability of the crime is concerned. Just a day before yesterday, the police raided a guest house in the outskirts of Parwanoo in Solan district and arrested all those who were present. But the police in order to save the higher up leaders of the BJP and some others acted in an altogether diametrically opposite manner in Shimla district,” the statement reads.
The CPIM has raised several questions which require an answer both by the police authorities as well as the state government. “Why is it that the police initially raided the hotel premises? It is stated that the hotel room was booked under one Suresh Atri who happens to be the leader of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha and the inmates were his relatives. Why is it that the names were fraudulently mentioned and recorded with wrong addresses. Why is it that the superintendent of Shimla police has given contradictory statements? If the girls that stayed in the Hotel were relatives of Suresh Atri why is it that their names and addresses are not being revealed now? Why the girls staying in the hotel were not questioned? Why is it that the state police has till date not revealed the exact nature of the raids made and also that who was responsible for it the Shimla police or the vigilance department? Why is it that the officer that led the raid was transferred in a period of just 15 days to Rajgarh?”
This is again a classical example of misuse of Political power. And most likely this issue too will also die its own death. “MERA BHARAT MAHAN”
