Shimla: In a bid to give further boost to tourism in the hill state and attract both domestic and foreign tourists, the Himachal Pradesh government is preparing a long-term master tourism plan for Shimla and other parts of the state, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal told state assembly today.

Spots like the Mall Road, Rani Jhansi Park, Jakhu Temple, US club, Lakkar Bazar, Glain and Chadvik Fall have been identified for further development from tourism point of view, Dhumal said in reply to a question of BJP’s Suresh Bhardawaj. According to an estimate, nearly 10 lakh tourists have visited Shimla so far in 2009.

  1. Traffic jam at 11.30 PM in Shimla, that rare even in Mumbai

This happened yesterday from but stand to HHH…does govt have any  plan to provide better living to the residents or we are all tourist centric

    • This type of initiatives are good for the economy of the state, but the state government should have to think state wise for the development of tourism. There are many areas which are waiting for the development of tourism having the potential to attract tourists in the state.
