1,104 Himachal villages get relief from TCP laws



Shimla: Amending the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, the state government has provided a major relief to residents of 1,104 villages as these will now no longer be under the specified laws. Out of these, 878 villages will enjoy total relief while in 226 villages partial areas have been taken out of TCP purview. Under the changed provisions, people living in these villages will now no linger be required to take permission from the town planner to construct buildings up to three storey in height, whereas commercial buildings will still require clearance from the town planner.
