Kullu: Two days after a century-old palace near Rohru was reduced to ashes, a devastating fire consumed two historical temples in the holy Manikaran town of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, besides gutting at least 29 shops clustered around the temple complexes. Electric short-circuit is said to be the reason behind the fire. The two temples – Lakshmi Narain and Shiva temple – are said to be more than 200 years old. Few adjoining houses are also said to have been damaged. Luckily, no human casualty was suffered as firefighters struggled to control the blaze for more than 8 hours.
