Shimla: Vice-President Mohammed Hamid Ansari today delivered the 13th Sarvepalli Radhakrishan Memorial Lecuture at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. Speaking on the theme – The Intellectual and Society: Role and Responsibility – Ansari said that the primary responsibility of intellectuals should be to educate the society on values enshrined in the constitution. The Vice-President took up five specific areas, namely institutions, economic amelioration, corruption, rights and enviroment to express his views on the subject, quoting opinions of renowned personalities.
