Probing corruption charge against Virbhadra Singh: CBI tells Delhi High court

The Central Bureau of Investigation today submitted before the Delhi High Court that it has received a complaint against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh.

The state Chief Minister is facing the allegation that he submitted revised income tax returns from 2009-2010 showing an increase of over Rupees 6 crore in income whereas the original IT return had shown only Rupees 7 lakh as his income during his tenure as Union Steel Minister.The CBI has already started its investigations but nothing has been done so far despite these complaints being sent to CBI and Chief Vigilance Commission in January this year.
