SASE sounds alert of Avalanches on high reaches

Manali Bases Snow and Avalanches Study Establishment (SASE) today sounded high alert of avalanches as it could be triggered on the high reaches owing to likely snowfall in this week. Deputy Commissioner Kullu,Mr. Rakesh Kanwar told media persons that its threat is looming high over higher reaches of Kullu district as he also advised people to stay in their homes in wake of warning of Avalanches by SASE.

Forecasting heavy snowfall on high reaches and rain in down stream Manali based SASE centre warned people that between January, 21 to 23 there are threats of avalanches in those localities that are just underneath snowline. Urging people to adopt precautions in wake of high alert Deputy Commissioner also advised that people should not venture out of their homes during these three days in order to avoid any mishap. The rescue parties comprising of its employees and officials have been asked to be ready and stay vigilant to respond in wake of any emergency situation.
