District administration sounds advisory after three cold deaths

After reporting three deaths due to cold in the town district, authority today sounded an advisory to people of this town to come forward and help those who are hapless and suffering in the winter.

In an advisory issued to general public here, Subdivision Magistrate, Mr. Gain Chand Negi said today that they should call police assistance at 100 number (phone) or 108 for emergency response system if they find anyone unattended, helpless, hapless or any physically and mentally challenged suffering in the cold.

SP, Shimla D.W.Negi said that the town has reported three deaths due to extreme cold. The authority assured to rescue such persons immediately from the town and its surrounding premises to provide them shelter, food and medical assistance to save more lives in the hostile weather.
