Cold waves continue despite sunny weather in Himachal Pradesh

The cold waves continue in this hill state as mercury plummeted in last 24 hrs by one to two degrees despite it was clear and sunny in the state.

In Lahaul Spiti district Keylong was coldest in the state at minus 8 degrees followed by Kalpa at minus 2.8 degrees and Manali minus 1.4 degrees whereas Bhunter in Kullu and Solan was low at 1.5 degrees each respectively.

Minimum temperature of Chamba, Nahan in Sirmaur district and Sundernagar in Mandi was at 2 degrees each, Dharmshala in Kangra 3 degrees, Shimla, Dalhousie, Mandi, Palampur in Kangra and Una at 4 degrees each.

Kangra recorded low at 6 degrees, Hamirpur 7 degrees and Bilaspur 8 degrees respectively. The Metrological Office has forecast mainly dry weather during next 24 hrs in the state
