Mercury improvised in Himachal, respite from cold wave

The hill state reeling under sever cold wave got some respite as there was sunshine and clear weather today.

Keylong that recorded a minimum temperature of minus nine degrees yesterday reached five point seven degrees today. Similarly Kalpa in Kinnaur district and Manali recorded four degrees and zero point four degrees respectively.

Minimum temperature of Una, Chamba, Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded two degrees while Mandi, Solan and Kangra three degrees and Dharamshala and Nahan four degrees.

Palampur in Kangra and Dalhousie in Chamba reached five degrees and Hamirpur recoreded seven degrees respectively.

The Metrological office is forecasting mainly dry weather in the state in next 24 hrs.
