Congress decides to make available a Minister at party headquaters

    In an unique political precedence for the first time Congress State Government has decided to make available a Minister at party state headquarter at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan here once in a week to hear the grievances of party activists and common man.

    Party spokesman, Mr. Naresh Chauhan said in a press statement issued here today that new arrangement are to be unfold by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh himself on January 4, 2015   who would sit in the party office to address the grievances.

    Next week State Irrigation and Public Health Minister Ms. Vidya Stokes is scheduled to meet party workers on January 12,( Monday) from 1200 hrs to 1500 hrs and Health Minister Thakur Kaul Singh on Jan 19,2015 at 1100 hrs to 1400 hrs, respectively.

    Party president Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu offered the proposal  to Chief Minister (about year ago) directing the state Government to spare a minister to depute them in party Headquaters once in a week to hear, contact and address the problems of party activists and common man there and than” Mr. Chauhan said .

    Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in agreement to party demand accorded his consent in last cabinet meeting deputing one minister of state cabinet to make contact with the general public and party workers.

    Ending the stalemate prevailing between state government and the organization, Mr. Singh has accepted the proposal after agreeing to this arrangement, party spokesman informed.

    Party leader also urged common man and party workers to turn up in large number to bring up their issues before the government functionaries on the given dates.

    It is worthwhile to mention here that initially state government did not respond to the proposal but now has been taken into consideration to strengthen party contact with people at large.
