Rajnath Singh to soon visit Himachal border areas

    Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Himachal Pradesh to access the need for more para military troops along the border between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir at Chamba district.

    In a press statement, Mr Prem Kumar Dhumal,  met with Union minister at New Delhi today apprising him about the issue of deployment of ITBP in Tarundi and Kakavan border villages in Chamba district of Himachal.

    Mr. Dhumal who is also the Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh was accompanied with state BJP president Satpal Singh Sati, urged the Home minister that ITBP was deployed in the area on the direction of former union minister L K Advani as 35 workers had been killed and 11 others injured in 1998 militant attack in two villages but troops had been removed last year by UPA government despite reports of militant activity from this area.
