Dharamsala: Leading scientists and academics from across the world have once again congragated at Dharamsala, home to the exiled 14th Dalai Lama, to attend the “Mind and Life” conference series. The dialogue meeting with the Dalai Lama, and other Buddhist scholar-practitioners, will continue till April 10.
The Dalai Lama kick-started the event with an inaugural talk on “Attention, Memory and Mind: A synergy of Psychological, Neuroscientific and Contemplative Perspectives”. Noted Hollywood actor Righard Gere is among the noted personalities attending the conference.
The Mind and Life Dialogues, started 18 years ago, were initially started to experiment whether a rigorous exchange could occur between leading modern scientists and Buddhist thinkers.
