Rail network from Pathankot to Leh shall be the priority of new government : Shanta Kumar

The newly elected BJP candidate from Kangra constituency of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Shanta Kumar said that, to create a railway network from Pathankot to Mandi and extend it to Leh in J&K shall be the priority of the Modi lead BJP government in Delhi.

Speaking to media at Dharamshala on Friday after the results of Lok Sabha elections, Senior leader BJP/ex Cabinet minister Shanta said, “The rail link through Himachal to leh is very important for the security of India, as China is spreading its rail network on the Indo-China border.”

Ex CM Shanta said that Himachal has the vast potential in tourism and the new government will develop the state in this area to generate more jobs to the youth and revenue to the state.

Reacting to the landslide victory of BJP in the state of Himachal, where BJP won all the four seats (including the defeat of Pratibha Singh, the sitting congress MP/wife of Chief Minister of Himachal), Mr. Shanta said that CM Virbhadra Singh should resign, as the people of the state had rejected Congress party here.
