Snowfall and rain lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours as it was cloudy to partly cloudy today.

Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti district got 2 cm snowfall, report of light spell of snowfall also came from high reaches of Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Kangra and Chamba district.

Hailstorms lashed some parts of Shimla district and Palampur in Kangra district this afternoon. Report of rain showers along with light velocity winds also came from some parts of down stream on the state. Day temperature came down sharply following inclement weather conditions forcing people to wear heavy woolen clothes.

Keylong was coldest in the state with minimum at minus 2.7 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnaur district 0.4 degrees, Manali 2 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu district 6 degrees, Chamba 7 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi district, Shimla town, Dalhousie and Hamirpur 8 degrees each, Una and Bilaspur 9 degrees each, Dharamshala and Palamapur in Kangra district and Mandi 10 degrees each.

The Met. office forecast rain or snowfall at some parts of the state in next 24 hours.
