High reaches of Himachal experiences mild snowfall

High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced mild snowfall in first 24 hours, however, it was bright sunshine in the day but partly cloudy in the evening.

Regional headquarters of Kinnaur, Kalpa had 7 cm snowfall. Along with Kinnaur, high reaches of Chamba and Kullu also reported mild snowfall. Manali had 8 mm rain followed by Saluni 7 mm, Amb in Una district 5 mm, Sangrah in Sirmaur district and Sundernagar in Mandi district 4 mm each.

Minimum temperature declined in the state today as Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti was coldest at minus 8 degrees which was a down by 3 degrees in last 24 hours. Kalpa minus 5 degrees and Manali minus 2 degrees.

Dalhousie in Chamba district 2 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu district, Chamba and Shimla 3 degrees each, Solan 4 degrees, Sundernagar 5 degrees, Kangra, Dharamshala, Palampur and Hamirpur 6 degrees, Una 7 degrees and Bilaspur 8 degrees respectively.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24 hours.
