Himachal assembly condoles demise of former member

Himachal Pradesh assembly today condoled the demise of former member Karm Singh who died on February 17, 2014 at his native village in Hamirpur, he was suffering from cancer from long time.

As the house assembled for day proceedings this morning, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh condoling demise of its member in the house said that former member had remained legislator of this house from 1885 to 1989 as he was elected on Congress ticket from Bamson assembly segment of Hamirpur district.

Karm Singh (75 years) had started his public life from a gram panchayat president (1967 to 1972), Mr. Singh said.

Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail and local MLA of Sujanpur Rajinder Singh Rana also condoled the demise latter in the house and also observed a brief silence in mark of respect to the departed soul.
